Oasis is unique because regardless of the location or demographics, each program is a nurturing community where children are respected, encouraged, and guided by positive adult role models. We believe that our replicable, comprehensive youth development model differentiates our organization from any other after-school provider in the City of New York by emphasizing role modeling, a sense of community, self-esteem, relationships, and team building.

Oasis actively recruits talented educators and young adults from each site’s local community to work with the children we serve on a day-to-day basis. Our extensive staff development and training sessions ensure quality and consistency across all of our programs. This enables our staff to create and implement physically and emotionally safe environments to help children develop to their full potential. Each site has highly trained staff members, along with an organized schedule of structured activities. A high ratio of adults to children maintains safety and allows the staff members to develop extraordinarily meaningful relationships with the children they serve.

We believe in order for children to do well, they must feel well. We work extremely hard to ensure that each student leaves our program everyday with a sense of pride and accomplishment.
